Celebrating 50 Years of Adventure: Sunsail's Milestone Anniversary at Southampton Boat Show This year marks an incredible milestone for Sunsail as we celebrate our 50th anniversary. To honour five decades of unforgettable sailing adventures, we hosted a special celebration for our loyal yacht owners during the Southampton Boat Show. The event was a testament to the strong community we've built, bringing together passionate sailors to share stories, laughter, and the joy of being part of the Sunsail family.

Spring 2024 will see the arrival of a new range of monohulls in our Sunsail fleet. The first Dufour yachts are being delivered at the time of writing and will be completed by this summer. In total, 25 new monohulls will be delivered to our Sunsail bases in the Mediterranean over the next 3 months.

We’ve just bought our second Sunsail boat, well, actually my third and Garry’s second. This time another friend has joined us in our sailing investment too which makes it a three-way ownership split. Our new boat is a Sunsail 46, located in Croatia as part of the Option to Purchase programme.

Sunsail and sister company, The Moorings are credited with creating the “guaranteed income” ownership model that has become the most popular plan among the world’s largest charter companies. This attractive option aims to remove all risk to the owner as it ensures their loan or lease payment will be covered in the form of a guaranteed monthly payment from the charter company. Boat buyers are reassured during the sales process that no matter what, they will receive this payment, regardless of the actual charter activity of their boat. This guarantee is the cornerstone of the entire program. Without it the model fails, and the owner can be put in a very difficult situation.
